BCHAA was established in the year 1937. Today, it is the largest Association of Custom Brokers in India. With a strength of over 1,800 members and their 1,00,000 employees. With this strength, the entire EXIM Trade at JNPT, MBPT, and Air Cargo Mumbai is handled by our members carrying out the work pertaining to Customs Clearance, Shipping, Air Freight, Port-related activities.

The role of the Customs house agent has evolved over time. From being merely a clearing agent, today, a Custom House Agent is a total global logistics provider. The role of BCHAA has also evolved with time.

The role of the Customs Broker has evolved over time, from merely being engaged in handling of clearances to a total logistics service provider. To support the Customs Broker fraternity, BCHAA has provided yeomen service to the industry and is actively supporting the call of Make in India by providing advisory support to the trade and industry.

BCHAA today is having a representative status with Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Civil Aviation, and Ministry of Shipping and has provided thought leadership required to scale up the compliant business environment.

To commemorate these landmark achievements, BCHAA is organising a grand event on 25th of December, 2016 which will be attended by Cabinet Ministers, Senior Government Officials , Industry Captains, Policy makers and most importantly the entire Customs Broker fraternity.
